The house was founded in Ammerschwihr at the beginning of the 17th century by Jean-Baptiste Adam, who was himself a renowned gourmet and wine-grower. This expertise and passion has been handed down throughout the generations.

Jean Baptiste Adam is demanding not only of his own grapes' quality but also of the grapes coming from other estates. By setting strict standards, he creates wines of very high quality, according to long-standing and traditional methods.
